Tea tree oil is a pretty strong astringent, so yes it will dry out your skin. If your skin is getting too try, watch out, because it means you’re over-drying your skin and will cause your skin to produce even more oil to compensate, which is bad of course.
I can’t tell you what to use instead because everyone has different skin and needs, so all I can leave with is to try and use less drying facial products.
